Cancellations and refunds
This policy explains cancellations and refunds for event bookings through AMGA. The organising group is identified on each event page and handles booking changes and refund requests. Refunds are made only on request and must be initiated by the organising group. They are not automatic, including when an event is cancelled or changed.
Unpaid reservations
For reservations made through online checkout, you can cancel an unpaid reservation from your reservation page. Seats are released once cancellation is confirmed. If payment has already completed, contact the organiser to request a refund instead.
Closing the payment window does not by itself confirm cancellation. Check the status on your reservation page.
For a reservation arranged directly with the organiser, contact them to make changes or cancel. Reservations awaiting a bank transfer remain held until the organiser confirms payment or cancels them. Tickets are issued only after payment is recorded.
If you cannot attend
Contact the organising group as soon as possible about cancellations, exchanges or ticket transfers. Requests are considered under the event-specific terms provided when booking and your applicable legal rights.
Cancelled or changed events
If an event is cancelled, postponed or significantly changed, contact the organising group about a refund or the available alternatives. The organiser will confirm the arrangements for your booking in accordance with the event terms and applicable law.
An event being marked as cancelled does not automatically start a refund. Check communications from the organiser and contact them if you need help.
How to request help or a refund
Use the organiser’s contact details provided with your booking, or use the AMGA contact form and select Bookings or Box Office. Include the event name, order reference, the name and email used for the booking, the affected tickets and the reason for your request.
AMGA can help direct your enquiry to the organising group. Refunds must be authorised by the organiser in accordance with the booking terms and applicable law. Please do not send payment card details.
How approved refunds are paid
Approved refunds for payments collected through the platform are processed against the original payment and returned through the original payment method. The time taken for the money to appear depends on the payment provider and your bank.
A refund may cover the whole booking or particular tickets. Check your updated order page for the refund status and the validity of each ticket. Tickets cancelled as part of a refund are no longer valid for admission.
Once a ticket refund is confirmed, the original ticket is cancelled and its place is released. It can be sold again if bookings are still open and the place remains available for sale.
For cash, bank transfer or card payments taken in person, the organiser arranges any approved refund outside the platform. They then record the completed refund to update the booking and release any cancelled tickets.
Bookings paid on another website
Some events link to a separate booking website. If your payment was taken on another website, arrange changes and refunds with that seller or booking provider, using the details in your confirmation. The organising group can help identify the correct provider.
Membership and other group payments
Membership subscriptions and other payments to a group are separate from event tickets. Contact the group that collected the payment with the payment reference and the reason for your enquiry. Its published payment conditions and your applicable legal rights govern those payments.
Submitting an application to join AMGA does not collect a payment. For enquiries about association membership fees, contact AMGA using the contact form.
Your legal rights
Tickets for leisure events taking place on a specific date generally fall outside the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases under Article 103(l) of Spain’s consumer protection law. This does not remove any right to a refund following cancellation or changes to an event, or other rights you have under applicable law. Event terms cannot override mandatory consumer protections.
